Quick answers

What is the first number a flower farmer needs?
Cost per stem: total cost to grow a crop divided by the stems you actually sell. It is your floor, not your price.

What do most small farms charge for a market bouquet?
Commonly $20 to $35 for a standard mixed bouquet, with premium bouquets above that. Your own costs decide where in that range you belong.

Should florists pay less than retail customers?
Usually yes, because they buy in volume and take your flowers in bunches, not finished bouquets. Many growers set a separate wholesale price list with a minimum order.
