About Anna Katherine

With over 15 years of experience studying, researching, and collecting vintage and antique items, I’ve developed eyes like a hawk for hunting unique, collectable, and quality pieces.

From artwork to furniture, to ceramics, to fashion, my time is joyfully spent researching the rich history of these items and the stories they bring with them. Preserving the past is of utmost importance to me, and I handle each item as its own little museum-worthy slice of rich history with a story worth telling.

Millennial First-Time Homeowner

In this chapter of my life, I’m enjoying the many thrills that come with being a millennial first-time homeowner. Back in 2020, I found my now home, a 70+ year old home on 4 acres of land along with an old dairy barn. After visiting the property and seeing the old barn, I was ready to sign my name on the dotted line.

Now long-gone are the weekends of brunch with friends and bottomless mimosas, as I now gladly welcome each weekend with a new home DIY project. When I’m not working my day job, you can find me working on a new project in the home, out on the property, or in the dairy barn. If you can’t find me at home, you can find me at my second home, my local Lowe’s, where I like to think of myself as one of their most frequent customers.

My Passion

Sustainably sourcing, strategically curating, and distinctively styling antique and vintage art, décor, furniture, and old treasures galore.

Get to Know Anna Katherine

If we haven’t met yet, hi, I’m Anna Katherine. This little corner of the internet is where home, garden, and everyday life come together. I share affordable decorating ideas, real DIY projects, seasonal garden updates from the property, vintage and antique finds, and the kind of lifestyle inspiration that makes a house actually feel like home. You’ll find honest before-and-afters, budget-minded shopping guides, and plenty of thrifted treasures along the way.

My goal is simple: to help fellow millennial homeowners create spaces that feel collected, comfortable, and genuinely theirs, without pretending the budget is unlimited or the process is ever truly finished. Good design, to me, is less about perfection and more about personality, and I hope what you find here makes your own home feel a little more like you.

Restoring a 70+ year old home has taught me patience, resourcefulness, and the quiet satisfaction of doing things well rather than quickly. Every room is a slow work in progress, and I love sharing that honest, unfiltered journey, the wins, the mistakes, the half-finished corners, and everything in between. There is always another project waiting in the house, on the property, or out in the dairy barn, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Let’s Create Something Beautiful Together

Whether you’re here for design inspiration, a step-by-step DIY walkthrough, or simply the comfort of knowing someone else is also elbow-deep in a weekend project, I’m so glad you found your way to my page. I believe the best homes are built slowly and personally, and that is exactly what the Anna Katherine blog is all about.

If you’re a brand in the home, garden, DIY, or lifestyle space, I’d genuinely love to hear from you about working together. And if you’re a fellow homeowner with a question or a project of your own, my inbox is always open. Make yourself at home, stay a while, and let’s create something beautiful together, one meaningful find at a time.

Thank you for being here. Every comment, share, and message genuinely makes my day, and reader questions often become the very next post or project on the blog. This space has grown because of readers like you, and I can’t wait to keep sharing the journey of turning an old house and a few acres into a home.
